Give back box items including a puzzle, candle, tea, blanket and chocolate all ethically and sustainably made from brands that give back to their community and beyond.

Case Study: The Give Back Box

At Carnaby & Vine, product sourcing is always intentional, but we wanted to see if we could take that one step further. This gift was built around a single question: what if every item in the box was doing something good beyond the gift itself? The result is a beautiful gift set that highlights brands that walk the walk, while encouraging the recipient to lean in to a quiet afternoon of small indulgences, showing that a good gift can do good, too.

The Idea

We're always researching new brands, and over time we noticed that some of the most beautifully made products we were discovering also happened to be backed by genuine commitments to social and environmental causes. Not just marketing language, actual initiatives, actual partnerships, actual impact. We wanted to put those brands together in one place and let the gift speak for what we believe good sourcing looks like.

We also wanted to put our own contribution on the table: 25% of every sale of the Give Back Box is donated to PATH Los Angeles, an organization doing meaningful work to address homelessness in our city through employment support, outreach, housing navigation, and permanent supportive housing.

The Brands Inside

Sunday Edition is part of the 1% for the Planet initiative, committing at least 1% of annual sales to certified environmental organizations. Their Dusk candle with top notes of blackberry and rhubarb, and base of musk, patchouli, and sandalwood is made by hand in their New York City studio using a coconut and soy wax blend, free of parabens and phthalates. Beautiful and clean in every sense.

Elsie & Zoey supports organizations working to preserve waterways across the country. Their Nalin Color Block Throw is the kind of piece that earns a permanent spot on a sofa — cozy, well-made, and styled in neutral-warm tones that work in almost any space.

JIGGY Puzzles has built their brand around uplifting emerging female artists, featuring their original work in puzzle form. Each puzzle comes in a reusable container, a small but genuinely considered packaging choice, and includes puzzle glue to display the puzzle art long term.

Groundwork champions regenerative and organic farming, and partners with Good Neighbors to help provide clean drinking water to communities in coffee-growing regions. Their Organic Moroccan Mint Tea is a nod to a centuries-old tradition; a blend of Gunpowder green tea and dried mint leaves, brewed differently each time.

Dandelion Chocolate operates on a direct trade model with a focus on small-batch production and ethical sourcing. The Tumaco bar features beans from the Tumaco region of Colombia, where Cacao Hunters works with local farmers to cultivate and preserve regional cacao varieties. The result is a chocolate bar with a story behind every square.

What The Give Back Box Represents

The Give Back Box is our clearest articulation of something we try to do across all our gifting: make the sourcing part of the gift. When a recipient opens this box, they're not just receiving beautiful things, they're also receiving a window into brands that are doing the work, and a small piece of what Carnaby & Vine stands for.

If you'd like to send the Give Back Box as a corporate gift or personal gift, it's available in our shop to send today. When you purchase this gift, we will donate 25% of profits to PATH Los Angeles, an organization doing meaningful work to address homelessness in our city through employment support, outreach, housing navigation, and permanent supportive housing.
