A Themed 70th Birthday Celebration

- THE BRIEF -

To design and create 100 Welcome Gifts and 100 Thank You Gifts for the destination celebration - all in the theme of James Bond. The Welcome Gifts needed to double as a "recovery kit" and itinerary for the weekend's events. The Thank You gift needed to be both a playful memento of the occasion and a tasteful curation that people would be excited to bring home.


- THE RESULT -

We enlisted almost all of our local vendors to create custom gift boxes that emulated the Bond films with a cutout revealing a screenprinted figure. The Shaken Not Stirred theme continued throughout the Thank You gift which featured an engraved cocktail shaker, custom embroidered napkins, and stemless martini glass set. A custom created "Message from the Desk of His Majesty's Secret Service" thanked attendees for joining in the celebration.

The recovery kit included custom UV printed packaging, all on theme, for post-party mending, and a desert-friendly hat by James Perse. All items were housed in a chic and tastefully branded RAINS weekender bag with a custom "Top Secret" Itinerary attached.

What types of events do you create custom gifts for?

We create gifts for everything from personal milestones - retirement gifts, birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, engagement gifts, wedding gifts, new baby gifts and housewarming gifts - to social events like weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and birthday parties, to professional events like conferences and retreats. Each gift is curated to reflect the occasion, the recipient(s), and the story behind the moment.

How does delivery work for special event gifts?

If your event is in the Los Angeles area, we will arrange drop off of all gifts directly, regardless of the volume. If you are not in the Los Angeles area, we'll create shipping-friendly gifts that will be delivered directly to your location of choice before your event.

What if I need to travel with my gifts?

Provided you are ordering gifts for a small group or just one person, we can incorporate travel-friendly packaging options into our proposal for your gift so you and your recipients don't have to worry about packing a gift box.

How far in advance should I start a custom event gifting order?

We recommend starting the process at least 2-4 weeks before your desired delivery date. For more complex customization or larger group gifts, additional time allows for more options in both items and customization options.

Should I bother asking if I don't meet the required lead time?

Yes. We'll do our best to present you with options that can be delivered in your time frame or let you know if we can't assist you this time around.

Can you create a single custom gift for one person?

Yes. We work with individuals creating a single milestone gift as well as clients coordinating gifting for couples, families, or groups, small and large. Every project receives the same level of attention and care, regardless of scale. Our individual custom gifts start at $350. Larger custom order pricing varies.

Do you offer luxury birthday or other personal event gifts?

Absolutely. Our milestone gifting services are designed with a luxury approach, combining high quality, design-forward products, refined presentation, and bespoke details to create gifts that feel personal and memorable. 

Can you help if I’m not sure what kind of gift to give?

Yes! Many clients come to us with only the milestone and the recipient in mind. We guide you through the creative direction, tone, and personalization options to design a gift that feels thoughtful and aligned with the moment.
